Campaign Story

My name is Kristine, and I am a single mom to two wonderful girls, ages 11 and 6. Our home is full of love, laughter, and the joyful chaos that comes with raising kids. As someone who identifies as asexual, I’ve always known my path to motherhood would look a little different, but my dream of having a family has never wavered.

That dream has been met with both incredible joy and profound heartache. When I first began trying to conceive in my twenties, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. After years of treatment and the devastating loss of a pregnancy, I welcomed my oldest daughter through IUI. When I hoped for a second child, I faced another difficult miscarriage before finally holding my youngest girl. Each of my daughters is a miracle I cherish beyond words.

Now, my heart is telling me our family isn’t quite complete. I have one last chance to try for a baby sibling for my girls before my ability to conceive changes. I have a limited amount of the same donor sperm left, and to give this dream its best possible chance, I need to pursue IVF. This process is my only option to maximize the possibility of a successful pregnancy.

As a full-time hospice nurse, I care for others during life’s most tender transitions. I’ve poured my savings into creating a stable home for my children and my mother, who lives with us. The cost of traveling to a specialized IVF clinic and the treatment itself is beyond what I can manage alone. Your support would directly fund these medical and travel expenses, bringing us one monumental step closer to welcoming a new life.
